A typical tuning takes about 1-1.5 hrs if close to pitch. Sometimes, the pins aren’t holding, strings are old and breaking or the bass can sound dull. That’s where partial or full restringing is an option.

There’s alot of knicks and crannies with pianos. It’s impossible to get to these places unless you dismantle it and have the right tools. ie. soundboard, keybed, action etc. And yes, that’s a mouse nest^.

Gloss pianos only: It’s tough to keep the elegant mirror finish on these. Owners like to put decorations, lights, cats, metronomes. You name it. It gets gray & hazy over time. Detailed machine polishing is recommended plus installing industrial grade self-healing film.

Keyboards have plastic or ivory keytops. And nothing lasts forever. Ivories discolor or they fall off or they get chipped up (or all three). Repair options include: Ivory peroxide bleaching, chip/spot repair, or full plastic keytop replacement.
